What is Surveillance System?

Though Biecco Lawrie Limited offers wired/wireless and mixed/hybrid system for security & surveillance, the unique feature of its wireless system is the capability to cover a NLOS distance of up to 5 kilometers. It is an integrated wireless system consisting mainly (1) Radio Base Station, Antenna, and Radio Remote Units; (2) IP Cameras; (3) Computers with SAN/NAS Storage system; (4) Video analytic software. Advanced WiMAX-based 4G technology is used for video transmission which is the backbone of the entire system.

Videos are captured through IP cameras and transmitted to the computer system placed at a distance of up to 5 kilometers through WiMAX technology where the video analysis is done through video analytic software and necessary alarms are generated. The communication methodology being WiMAX, video is transmitted in a secured seamless manner with proper encryption & high data speed eliminating noises and interruptions. This can work both in licensed and un-licensed band (e.g. 5825-5875 MHz).

System Components (Equipments)

IP Camera :	To capture videos (choice depends upon customer requirements on Zoom, Lux, PTZ, Night Vision, Resolutions, Frames/sec, IP66 Enclosure etc.). These can be normal, thermal, explosion proof cameras.
Radio Base Station, Antenna, Radio Remote Unit :	For transmission of videos from cameras to Radio Base Station.
Computer systems with high volume storage :	For storage and analysis of videos received from cameras through Radio Base Station. This can be integrated with any existing network.
Video Analytic software :	For alarms and intelligent analysis of videos.

Where can such system be used?

This system can be installed in :-

• National infrastructures, like bridges, tunnels etc.

Is this CCTV?

No, this is not CCTV. It is much more than that. Since the video transmission is wireless and covers a wide range, the application is not limited to building/premises etc. It can cover complexes like huge oil refineries and can be used for city surveillance or traffic management. The flexibility and scalability for deploying additional number of cameras are the added advantage. Being wireless, this can be adopted for monitoring from moving vehicles. In addition, the video analytic software empowers you to receive alarms as per the parameters defined by you and following are such few events :

• Crossing artificial fencing;
